About

With over 15 years experience of working with people and nature, I set up my own business so I could continue my passion for bushcraft and connecting people to nature whilst parenting my own two little wildlings.

Previously, my career has taken me into urban estates as a Community Ranger with Green Estate, along rivers with the River Stewardship Comany, into Cemeteries turned Nature Reserves with the Sheffield General Cemetery and into managed woodlands with the Forestry Commission, all of them with a common thread - linking humans back to nature and seeing the good it can do for both.

Inspired by working on an upland farm in the Peak District with a ranger (Bob), I went to study for a BSc degree in Sustainable Land Management at Askham Bryan Agricultural College whilst I worked for an award winning Traditional Hedgelayer and later did further training with the Forestry Commission before training as a Forest School Leader entering into the world of bushcraft - never to return!

Throughout my career I have been influenced by incredibly strong and inspiring individuals and communities, helping people see and experince the nature which they are a part of and how to connect to it, emmerse themselves into it and care for it.

The outdoors is my passion - bushcraft, plants, wildlife, foraging, creativity - and I am also intrigued with the human mind, self-improvement and spirituality. In my younger years, I worked in cafes and cinemas, always around people. People energise me and human connection and community is a huge part of my life.

Much of it is thanks to my parents who exposed me and my siblings to the wonders of nature from a young age, growing up in North Sheffield. My aim is to pass this forward, leave lasting memories in children - particaully those who don’t easily get the opportunities themselves, and teach their parents, carers, aunties and uncles, community leaders and teachers to see this magnificent world we live within though a new lens and to think that bit more about it, feel better within it and want to give back to it.

To me, we are part of nature and helping to inspire people and hopefully plant tiny seeds of care is my way to give back to our beautiful earth.
